Introduction

You can install Kofax Express 3.3.0 Fix Pack 3 to add support for new scanners or to resolve the issues listed below.

To install Kofax Express 3.3.0 Fix Pack 3 successfully, an existing full installation of Kofax Express 3.3.0 is required.

1717269: In the User Interface window, deselecting the Scan Profile Selection List and Scan Profile Tools options did not make them hidden.

1716055: If set to Read Only, an Index field was still editable.

1705565: Bar Code Filter prevented all bar codes from being read.

1476545: Index values were duplicated from the previous export if the "Show in document title" feature was turned off.

Install this Fix Pack

Use one of the following methods to install the Fix Pack:

Interactive

  1. Verify that the following applications/services are not running.

    2. Note: For best results, install the Fix Pack during off-peak processing hours.

  2. Extract the contents of KofaxExpress-3.3.0.3.zip on the computer where Kofax Express 3.3.0 is installed.
  3. Double-click KofaxExpress-3.3.0.3.exe and follow the wizard prompts.
  4. When prompted that the installation is finished, click Finish.

Silent

  1. Verify that the following applications/services are not running.

    2. Note: For best results, install the Fix Pack during off-peak processing hours.

  2. Extract the contents of KofaxExpress-3.3.0.3.zip on the computer where Kofax Express 3.3.0 is installed.
  3. Open a Command Prompt window with administrator rights and change the working folder to the folder with the extracted contents of the KofaxExpress-3.3.0.3.zip file.
  4. Run the KofaxExpress-3.3.0.3.exe /s /v"/qn" command.

Remove this Fix Pack

Use one of the following methods to remove the Fix Pack:

Interactive

  1. Verify that the following applications/services are not running.

    2. Note: For best results, remove the Fix Pack during off-peak processing hours.

  2. In Windows Control Panel, select Programs > Programs and Features > View installed updates.
  3. On the list of updates, in the Name column, select the item that corresponds to Kofax Express 3.3.0.3.
  4. Right-click and select Uninstall.

Silent

  1. Verify that the following applications/services are not running.

    2. Note: For best results, remove the Fix Pack during off-peak processing hours.

  2. Open a Command Prompt window with administrator rights.
  3. Run the msiexec.exe /I{F26B4150-8FFB-41CD-8616-15CC68957C26} MSIPATCHREMOVE={078A308E-73DC-4585-A8C5-48B85E39ABFB} /qn command.
